USPS Raises Shipping Rates 2013

USPS Raises Shipping Rates 2013

January 27th  found us knee deep in changing our website postal rates.   This is always so very difficult for us as shipping is vital in our business.

The reason behind the increase according to the United State Postal Service is to keep in line with inflation. While this ultimately means more revenue for the USPS, it does not automatically mean you have to pay more.

Because there is not a perfect way to calculate shipping (ours is based on weight) occasionally your shipping rate may be different and we will have to contact you.   It might just be less!!

We would like to remind you of our shipping policies below, which could mean more savings to you.

We do everything within our ability to keep your shipping charges to a minimum. Our published shipping rates are set to reflect item size and estimated cost using USPS Priority Mail Rates. The good news is that it is our policy to refund excess shipping charges back to customers if we can use a lower rate packaging with your order. For many items we can use First Class Mail to minimize customer shipping.

If the amount you pay for shipping exceeds $2 of the actual cost we refund the overpayment.

We reserve the right to contact you should your order require an additional shipping amount – we will inform you of this prior to shipping. We only ship to the address that is confirmed on your Paypal account.

Please make sure the address confirmed on your Paypal account is the accurate address before buying – this is your responsibility. We must ship to this address because of Paypal’s policy regarding contested transactions. They will not cover either party’s expenses should something happen to the item if the item has not been shipped to the address they have on file.
